She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Russell Russell and Mary Justus Russell; her husband Reginald "Reggie" Dixon; her siblings, Don Russell, Bill Russell and Catherine Russell Cowan; and her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Cowan and Allen Josey.
She is survived by: her daughter Kay Dixon Sherrill; her son-in-law Tommy Sherrill; her grandchildren, Ryan Sherrill (Julie) and Morgan Cook (Joe); her great grandchildren, Gracie and Levi Sherrill; and her sisters-in-law, Colene Russell, Donna Josey and Claudia Register. She is also survived by extended family members, including nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Iredell Memorial Park (2304 Shelton Ave, Statesville, NC 28677).
