With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willard Cornelius (Statesville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 2, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Cornelius and Lillian Cornelius; his wife Geraldine Johnson; his daughter Deborah Lynn Lackey; and his siblings, Sadie Freeze, Gene Cornelius and Elbert Cornelius.
He is survived by : his children, Willard "Kenny" Cornelius II (Sheryl) of Statesville, Cynthia Wagner (Joseph) of Statesville and Virginia Ann Anderson (Eddie) of North Wilkesboro; and his sister Carolyn Johnson of Winston Salem. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grand children.
In lieu of flowers the family as donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 .
