With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Eric Pruitt (Stedman, North Carolina), who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 54. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Douglas Eric Pruitt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his mother Susan Whitworth Clary; and his grandmother Ollie Whitworth. He is survived by: his grandfather Ralph Clary; his son David Williams (Carly); his sisters, Rebecca Pruitt (Bryan), Sandra Spry (Rob) and Kim Humphries (Scott); his partner's son Trey Ward; and his grandchildren, Weston, Levi and Barrett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Butler Funeral Home (6535 Clinton Rd, Stedman, NC 28391). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery (400 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28307).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to a local animal rescue in Doug's honor.
