With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Ann Johnson Hughes (Stedman, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2025 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Johnson and Clara Tanner Johnson of Autryville, NC; her son Rodger G. Owens; and her siblings, Allan Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Marjorie Jackson.
She is survived by: her husband James T. Hughes; her brother Danny Ray Johnson; her son Jason Hughes; her grandchildren, Aiden, Blake, Olivia, Isiah and Madelyn; and her great grandchild Ryker.
In lieu of flowers, Ann requested that everyone love the Lord with all of your heart, reach out to someone each day to tell them you love them, and support a local charity.
