He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Pearly Johnson and Daisy Jane Carter Johnson; his siblings, Columbus Johnson, Willie Johnson, Levie Johnson, Martha Johnson, Clara Johnson and Linda Caulder; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Tracy Wolford and Shirley T. Kiser.
He is survived by: his wife Georgie T. Johnson; his sons, Michael Gene Johnson (Tammy) and Johnny Gene Johnson (Mandie); his siblings, Reese Johnson and Virginia Mavropoulos; and his sisters-in-law, Ellen E. Wolford and Barbara Johnson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
