She was predeceased by: her husband Michael "Mike" Boomer; her parents, Bonnie Joyner and Herbert Matthews; and her brothers, Herbert Matthews Jr. and Ricky Matthews.
She is survived by: her sister Bonnie Jean Matthews of Fayetteville, NC; her daughters, Jamie Boomer of Ocala, FL, Donna Godwin (Chris) of Stedman, NC and Sandra Boller (Bernard "Bo") of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Hannah Nix-McCann (Matthew) of Fayetteville, NC, Rebekah Sanchez (Brian) of Washington State, Michael Boller of Fayetteville, NC and Noah Godwin of Mooresville, NC; her great grandchild Milo Sanchez of Washington State; her sister-in-law Gale Matthews; and her friends, Vickie Wood and Bobby Tyner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
