He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schaeffer and Thelma Schaeffer; his daughter Mary; and his sister Anne Harkins. He is survived by: his wife Annette; his pet Rudy; his children, David Schaeffer (Tanya), Dianne Dahlman (Jeff Mohn), Dawn Edwards (Patrick), Daniel Schaeffer (Heather) and Paul Schaeffer Jr. (Ashley); his nephew Jerry Hardy (Sonya); his siblings, Jeanne Dearden (James), Mary Jo Nelson (Donald), Carol Toro and Mark Schaeffer (Maryann); and his grandchildren, Brock, Nathan, Jaxson, Isaac, Owen, Makenna, Oliver, Salem and Sophie.
