He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hugh Lackey and Sally Jolly Lackey; and his siblings, Barbara Ann "Duck" Lackey and Gary Wayne "Buckshot" Lackey. He is survived by: his sister Deborah Lackey Dillard; his sibling's children, Lanny Todd Harrington and Ashley Nicole Earp; his great-nephews, Simon Alexander Bare and Tripp Wilder Harrington; his great-niece Abbie Taya Bare; his aunts, Shirley Ann Jolly and Martha Lucinda Jolly; and his grandparents, Hackett, Pearl Jolly and Mammie Lackey.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stony Point Baptist Church Cemetery (231 Ruritan Park Rd, Stony Point, NC 28678).
