It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Eugene Harris Jr. of Stony Point, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Earl may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Eugene Harris Sr. and Anne Marie Abbott; and his siblings, Joseph Edward Harris and Patricia Ann Reese. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jane Forsyth Harris; his sisters, Linda Faye of Lincolnton, Vanessa Diane Starnes of Hildebran, Eva Marie Wankel (Mark) of Stony Point and Annette Marie Abbott of Charlotte; and his aunt Alice Faye Pope of Newton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
