She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lloyd Hedrick and Annie Canipe Hedrick; her husband Earl Richard Barlow; her siblings, Dock Hedrick, Billy Hedrick, Sr., James Hedrick, Thurman Hedrick and Thelma Barlow; her grandson Jason Huffman; and her son-in-law Nelson Overcash.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Huffman (Gary) of Denver, Sherry Hudson (Chris), Anita Overcash of Newton and Tracy Chapman (Johnny) of Stony Point; and her sister Jean Hollifield of Taylorsville. She is also survived by Six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Providence Road Baptist Church (3283 Providence Mill Rd, Maiden, NC 28650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
