She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Pinkney Proctor and Carrie O'Dale Proctor; her brothers, Joe Mathews, Sammy Proctor and Danny Proctor; and the father of her children Craig Summers.

She is survived by: her children, Gerald Shane Summers of Stony Point and Nikki Summers of Statesville; her sister Glenda Mathews of Hendersonville; her grandchildren, Katelyn, Timothy and Phoebe; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Amara and Axel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
