He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Ward and Blaine Ward of Sugar Grove, NC.; his former wife Alice Ward; his daughter Diana Ward; and his stepson Michael Frederick.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Pamela Stout (Perry), Eddie Ward (Amber) and Stephanie Ward; his stepchildren, Samantha Lipford (Blaine) and Matthew Fredrick (Jessica); and his siblings, Hubert Ward, James Ward (Linda), Tommy Ward, Richard Ward (Kat), Sandra Ward, Caroline Ward and Tina Ward. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
