He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Marvin Best and Miggie Pollock Best; and his brothers, J. T. Best, Louis Best and Harold Best.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia, Buchanan, Marvetta, Viola (Tony) and Henry; and his friends, Scott Mooneyham, Gilbert Modlin and Mark "Seagull" Ashley. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
