We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2025, Richard Moots of Sunbury, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Richard's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Richard's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Moots and Peggy Edwards Moots; and his daughter Jennifer Moots. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Louise Hart "Becky" Moots; and his children, Kimberly Moots of Grand Rapids, MI, Jessica Tray of Gastonia, NC, Stephanie Carlson (Ryan) of Sunbury, NC and Jason Cook (Kira) of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by six granddaughters; six grandsons; one great granddaughter; one great grandson; six sisters; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
