He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Eason and Frances Eason of Sunbury, NC; his wife Elaine Askew Eason; his siblings, Winfield Eason, Carrie Ingram and Thelma M. Cash; and his grandson McRell Rashad Eason.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Eason of Suffolk, VA, Arnold Eason of Sunbury, NC, Yvonne Eason of Sunbury, NC, Cheryl Hawk (Tracy) of Suffolk, VA and Selena Askew of Anguilla; his grandchildren, Waltena Eason, Senecia McNeil (Mike), Arnesha Eason, Arnold Raphael Eason, LaToya Leary, Mateal Jenkins, Aaron Eason and Marcuis Saunders; and his sisters, Alma Goodman and Maxine Rayson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
