With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Nowell of Sunbury, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter and Donnie; his wife Rosenell L. Nowell; his nephew Ricky Jordan; his grandson Rashaan L. Nowell; his children, Dianne Boone (Bobby), Shelton Nowell (Rachel), Debra Parker (Robert), Walter Nowell Jr. (Darlene), Jessie Harvey (Delbert), Donald Nowell (Penny) and Odessa Elliott (James); his siblings, Donnie Jordan, George Nowell, James Nowell, Willie D. Jordan, Walsworth Nowell and Lonnie Nowell; and his friend H. B. Lilley.

He is survived by : his friend Tom Riddick of Gatesville, NC.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
