It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Luanna Hillsgrove of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Prescott and Caroline Eastman Prescott; her husband Walter Merl Hillsgrove; her son-in-law George Rines; her grandson Kevin Caldwell; and her stepsiblings, Patricia Lique and Richard Hillsgrove.
She is survived by: her children, James Hillsgrove, Carolyn Rines of Sunset Beach, NC and Marjorie Durkee; her stepson Robert Hillsgrove; her grandchildren, James Hillsgrove, Jr., Jayma Robinson, Lisa Caldwell, Kenneth Durkee, Jeff Hillsgrove and Christina MacDonald; her great grandchildren, Julia, Nathan, Gabriell, Garrett, Danielle, McKenzie, Hayden and Kailin; and her great great grandchild Addley.
