He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend James Earl Hardie Sr. and Mary Madalyne Bryant Hardie; and his siblings, Jimmie Lee and Marye Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Jackie of Sunset Beach; his children, Eric Hardy of Leland, Lamarr Hardy of Leland, Mark Hardy of Supply and Ashley Hardy of Chicago, IL; his siblings, Earlene Hardie Cox (Maurice) of Southport, Alexander Hardie of Sunset Beach, Ronnie Hardie (Jeanette) of Goldsboro, Jim Hardy (Kyna) of Supply and Anthony Hardie (Melissa) of Atlanta, GA; and his brother-in-law Charles Simmons of Supply.
