It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia H Dayka of Sunset Beach, North Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sylvia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sylvia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sylvia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernst Freihofer and Hildegard Freihofer; and her husband Raymond J. Dayka. She is survived by: her children, Christopher P. Pelletier and Lisa M. Brown (W. Boyd Brown, Jr.); her grandchildren, Joshua Brown and Lauren Brown; her sister Annemarie Briezia; her brother-in-law Dieter; and her niece Simone Briezia (Georg).
