Hales of Supply, NC and Tammy Hales of Norfolk, VA; his sisters, Ada McKay of Baton Rouge, LA, Rita Hill of Baton Rouge, LA, Edna Rami (Clifton) of Zachary, LA and Deloris Parker of Woodville, MS; and his mother Jessie "Ganna" Dunbar. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nephews, one niece.
