It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Hucks Wayland of Supply, North Carolina, who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Dorothy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dorothy farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hucks and Mabel Stallings Hucks. She is survived by: her children, William "Gene" Wayland (Anna) of Leland and Darlene Caison (Jerry) of Supply; her grandchildren, Leigh Ann Cogdill (JP), Nick Wayland (Lauren), Tyler Wayland, Brittany and Casey Caison (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Kaydence, Coralie, John Noah, Leah Blake and Mary Ella.
