She was predeceased by: her father Wilbur Hoke Currie; her former husband Harry Irvine Tuggle, Jr. of Martinsville; her daughter Margaret Irvine Tuggle; her mother Elizabeth Woltz Currie; her stepmother Margaret Willcox Currie; and her siblings, Elizabeth Currie Shoenfelt, John L. Currie and Hoke Currie.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Neil; her daughters, Lynn Tuggle Gilliland (Bill) and Katharine Tuggle Echavarri; her grandchildren, Mac Gilliland (Claire), Matthew Gilliland (Emma) and Katalina Echavarri; her great grandchild Kate Gilliland; her siblings, Ann Currie McCullough, Ruth Currie, Lynn Currie Wallace (Jim) and Tom Currie (Ann); and her sister-in-law Nancy Currie.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to honor Kitty may be sent to the Montreat Conference Center for Currie Craft Center Endowment or to the Katalina Echavarri Fund, established after granddaughter Katalina's spinal cord injury in February 2025.
