In the vast expanse of eternity, Ray shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ray farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Reems and Thelma Reems; and his daughter Melissa Anne Reems. He is survived by: his wife Lyn Reems; his son Matthew Reems; his brother Tony Reems; his grandson Chance Effler; his siblings-in-law, Gayle Trantham and Philip Trantham (Von); and his aunt Betty Jo Trantham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harwood Home For Funerals (208 W State St, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
