He is survived by: his father Cliff Payne of Ashland, KY; his children, Thomas Sammons (Makenzie) of Brevard, NC, Samantha Edwards (Gus) of Nebo, NC and Cody Sammons (Hannah) of Fairview, NC; his siblings, Keith Pirkle of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rachel Russell of Ohio and Jason Payne (Lisa) of Ashland, KY; and his grandchildren, Peyton, Roman Sammons, Roy and Emma Edwards.
