She was predeceased by : her parents, Namon Graham Cannon and Beulah Phillips Cannon; her husband Preston Clayton Rawls; her son Preston Clayton Rawls, Jr.; and her brother Jerry Cannon of Newport.

She is survived by : her daughter Angela Rawls (TC Cleve); her grandchildren, Justin Kyle Cleve (Allison) of Swansboro and Kylie Alexis Cleve of Morehead City; and her grandmother Madeline Baye Cleve (Presley Elizabeth Cleve).

In lieu of flowers, Betty's wishes were for donations to be made to First Baptist Church Music Dept. 614 W. Corbett Ave., Swansboro, NC 28584, or to a charity of one's choice.
