With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Davis Matthews of Swansboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 31, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Davis and Essie Hood Davis; her husband Leroy; and her siblings, Doris Sweeting and Jimmy Davis.
She is survived by: her sons, Barry Matthews (Ruth) of Cedar Point and Ken Matthews (Libba) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Todd (Ellen), Krystal and Janell; her great grandchild Emily Paige; her brother Alton "Bud" Davis (Kitty) of Hubert; and her sibling's children, Wanda Conway and Don Sweeting (Michelle).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
