He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert and Myrtle Freeman Shearin; and his sister Ann Blaylock. He is survived by: his wife Cathylyn Shearin; his children, Michael Shearin (Emily) of Johnson City, TN and Kathryn "Sierra" Williams (Timothy) of Jacksonville; his stepdaughters, Briana Ott and Samantha Taddio; his grandchildren, Braxton, Tucker, Lilly, Xander and Miller; and his siblings, Roy Shearin, Larry Shearin, Janice Wallace and Candy Hurd.
