He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Barlow and Alma Morton Barlow; and his brother Mark Barlow. He is survived by: his wife Anna Alvarez Barlow; his children, Richard (Samantha Barlow) and Andrea (Christopher Paul); his grandchildren, Ella Carmen, Madelyn and Jackson Barlow; and his siblings, Arthur Barlow of Swansboro and Lillian Boyle of Swansboro.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
