She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Bell and Mary Waters Bell. She is survived by: her children, Mark Morton (Martha) of Jacksonville, Gail King of Bear Creek and Steve Morton (Jeanette) of Valdosta, GA; her daughter-in-law Alice Morton of Hubert; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark), Lisa (Jacob), Alex, Jeffery (Tiffany), Jennifer, Jessica (Jadiel) and Sherry (Darrell); her husband Lewis Edward Morton; and her son Gary Morton. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home of Swansboro Monday (407 Old Hammock Rd, Swansboro, NC 28584). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Queens Creek Methodist Cemetery Perpetual Fund, QCMC, PO Box 398, Hubert NC 28539 or the charity of one's choice.
