With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Daniel Martin of Swansboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 14, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Junior and Louise Lawson Martin; his sister Thelma Martin; and his brother-in-law Tommy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Martin; his children, Troy Martin (Leigh) of Kernersville, Tony Martin (Sandra) of Gibsonville, David Jones (Frances) of Peletier, Mark Jones of Bogue, Lynn Jones (Aubrey) of Wrightsville Beach and DJ Styron of Bogue; his grandchildren, Heath, Alyse, Kyle, Kolby, Adam, Angela, April, Bethany, Bridget, Timothy, Brandon, Brittiny, Chase and Cameron; and his siblings, James Martin (Jan) of Monroe and Faye Smith of Lexington. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
