He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Neal LaCroix and Zelma Guthrie LaCroix Shipp; his brother Michael LaCroix; and his sons, Joshua Walker LaCroix and Jamie "Bubba" LaCroix.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Aubrie LaCroix and Lane LaCroix; his siblings, David LaCroix of Newport, Gail LaCroix of Myrtle Beach and Jody LaCroix of Myrtle Beach; and his half-brother Dusty Rhodes of Charlotte.
