It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurel Ann Heburn (Swansboro, North Carolina), born in Utica, New York, who passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick W. Gates and Wilhelmina M. Kirk Gates; her husband Kenny Heburn, Jr.; and her siblings, Carol Vandewater, Allen W. Gates and Dale A. Gates.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Dr Luis Ceuvo of Michael Wall, PA, Kelly Lescenski RN and Lisa Wright; her children, Kimberly Priest (Robert) of Louisville, KY, Kelly A. Edwards of Swansboro and Kenneth J. Heburn, III (Nancy) of Jacksonville, FL; and her brother Barry G. Gates (Catherine) of Boonville, NY.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
