He was predeceased by: his son Preston Clayton Rawls, Jr.; and his parents, Woodrow Rawls and Neva Gower Rawls. He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Rawls; his daughter Angela Rawls Cleve (T. C.) of Swansboro; his grandchildren, Justin Kyle Cleve (Allison) of Swansboro and Kylie Alexis Cleve of Chapel Hill; his great grandchild Madeline Baye Cleve (Maddie Baye); his sisters, Martha Campen (Floyd) of Arapahoe and Frances Carawan of Aransas Pass, TX; his brother-in-law Jerry Cannon (Janice) of Newport; Charles A. Rawls (Mary) of Swansboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
