He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reed and Viola Gertrude Irwin Silvis. He is survived by: his wife Joan Bennett Silvis; his children, Rita Reilly (Ray) of Erie, PA, Craig Alan Silvis (Peggy) of Erie, PA, J. Kevin Silvis (Bonita) of Erie, PA, Babs Lauren Bengtson of Williamsburg, VA and Brian Scott Silvis (Chris) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchildren, Kelsey Wildstone, Nathan Wildstone, Patrick Silvis, Michael Silvis, Zackary Silvis, Cameron Silvis, Jacob Silvis, Josiah Silvis, Mark Bengston, Andrew Silvis, Aaron Silvis, Tyler Silvis and Eli Silvis; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Carter, Tegan, Rilee, Rowan, Maggie and Theodore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (614 W Corbett Ave, Swansboro, NC 28584). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 614 W Corbett Ave., Swansboro, NC 28584.
