She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Foust and Francis Applewhite Foust; her husband Ronald Dean Benedict, Sr.; and her sister Beverly. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Benedict, R. D. Benedict (Stephanie) of Swansboro, Tanya Springfield (Mike) of Cape Carteret and Derek Benedict (Kathy) of Richlands; her grandchildren, Jake, Holly, Riley, Parker, Megan, Davis, Zach and Nathan; and her great grandchild Stella Grace.
