She was predeceased by: her parent Charlie Franks; her husband Carl Buchanan; and her siblings, Ella Carol Franks and Walter Franks. She is survived by: her children, Donna Byrd (Ben), Vickie Lynn Walk (Dennis), Mark Anthony Buchanan, Carl Sam Buchanan Jr. (Stacey) and Christopher Shane Buchanan (Emily); and her siblings, Katie Cabe (David), Monroe Franks (Robin), Vick Franks (Brenda) and Johnny Franks (Penny). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
