We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2023, at the age of 92, Alva Jean McClure Keener (Sylva, North Carolina), born in Jackson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paul and Nettie Mull McClure; her husband Lewis O. Keener; her daughter Donna Keener; her sister Elizabeth Stewart; and her son-in-law Jim Hage.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Keener Hage; and her siblings, Jane McClure of Sylva, Linda Kelly (Livingston) of Sylva, Pauline Bryson of Asheville, Steve McClure (Norma) of Sylva, Terry McClure of Georgia, Carroll McClure of Georgia, Bob McClure (Ruth Ann) of Clyde, Tom McClure (Dianne) of Sylva and Bill McClure of Sylva.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Scotts Creek Baptist Church for the new sound system.
