He was predeceased by: his mother Pearl Beasley Ashe. He is survived by: his wife Cathey Allison Ashe; his children, Travis Ashe (Clarissa) and Tabitha Ashe; his grandsons, Eli of Sylva and Max Ashe of Sylva; and his siblings, Pat Brown (John) of Cullowhee, Betty McClure (Jim) of Sylva and Keith Ashe (Doris) of Cullowhee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
