With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Billy Ray Jones of Sylva, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Billy Ray left this world on June 12, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maudie Wykle and Aude Jones; his wife Patricia Ann Lewis Jones; and his brothers, Dempsy, Tunney, Harry, Kennith, Guy and Randy.
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Marcia) of Sylva, NC, Mark (Martha) of Sylva, NC and Chris (Heather) of Columbus, NC; his grandchildren, Christopher (Ryan) of Raleigh, NC and Savannah (Daniel) of Hickory, NC; his brothers, Leon and Danny (Mary); his sister-in-law Priscilla Jones; and his close friend June Aiken. He is also survived by his great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779).
