She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Hugh and Roena Pettit Allison; her sister Mary Evelyn Allison; her sons, Jimmy Oliver, Francis Oliver and Andrew Holt; and her great grandchild Oliver Ryder Iberra.
She is survived by: her children, Lora Gayle Rector (Gene Rector) of Kannapolis, Gary Oliver (Debbie) of Abilene, Texas, Bobby Oliver (Liz) of Morganton, William Paul Holt III (Cindy), Jayne Woodyard (James) and Dr. Mandy Taylor (Larry Shane Taylor) of North Wilkesboro; and her grandchildren, Emily Rector Harmon (John Wesley) of Greensboro, Megan Rector Griffin (Brad) of Mt. Pleasant, Zane Oliver (Jillian Dunbar) of Raleigh, Dakota Oliver of Morganton, Mary Catherine Woodyard Iberra (Jacob Iberra) of Woodstock, Georgia, Ethan Woodyard of Woodstock, Georgia, Andrew Woodyard of Woodstock, Georgia and Michelle Oliver of Abilene, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to the Brenda Oliver Holt Scholarship Endowment at Southwestern Community College, The Community Table of Sylva, or Mountain Projects.
