He is survived by: his children, Brian K. Brooks (Kingsport) and Cheryl Y. Brooks (Concord); his sisters, Melva Harwell (Baton Rouge) and Martha Lou Hoffman (Sapphire); his grandchildren, Amber Donaldson (Adam), Kristen Brooks (Josh) and Travis Brooks (Haven); and his great grandchildren, Evan, Zella, Pruitt and Emma.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brasstown Cemetery.
