He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Franks and Bertha Frady Franks; his brothers, Gerald and Billy Franks; and his grandparents, Richard, Effie Sorrells Frady, Mack and Dolly Johnson Franks.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Franks of Greensboro, NC; his uncle Woodrow Frady of Sylva; his aunt Rachel Woodard of Sylva; and his daughter Lettie Hall Cobb of Greensboro.
