It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Ray Milkey of Sylva, North Carolina, born in Milan, Michigan, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his brother Roy; and his father-in-law Jimmie Peters. He is survived by : his parents, Darlene Milkey and Leory Milkey; his former life partner Corina Griffith; his wife Barbara Reney Milkey; his children, Tera (Tim), Ryan and Jace; his stepson Jerrod (Kelli); his brother Troy (Mary); his grandchildren, Autumn, Ahlexis, Shaelynn, Wyatt, Salora, Zaina and Camden; his mothers-in-law, Barbara (Frank Summerour) and Merel Peters; his nieces, Analiesa, Alyssa and Tiffany; and his nephew Noah. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
