He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gonnella and Mary Hunt Gonnella; and his daughter Marcia Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gonnella; and his son-in-law Robert Wagner (Lynn Chow). He is also survived by four stepchildren; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and ten siblings.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sylva (22 Bartlett St, Sylva, NC 28779).
