He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Barnes and Deana Barnes; and his brother Melvin. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ashe Barnes; his children, Chris Barnes (Allyson) of Bryson City, Cindy Kinsey (Scott) of Cashiers and Jennifer Rhinehart (Alan) of Cullowhee; his grandchildren, Jasmine, Jeanette, Aaron Rhinehart, Emily, Mason Barnes, Madison, Ashley Foster and Hannah Stiwinter; and his brothers, Larry and Bruce Barnes. He is also survived by 5 Great Grandchildren.
