She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Bryson (Dewey) of Charlotte, Janet Childers (Bill) of Polkton and Angela Nicholas of Saluda; her grandsons, Ryan Griffin (Amber) of Saluda, Josh Bryson of Charlotte, Jeremy Bryson of Bolivia, Nathan Griffin of Saluda, Chris Childers (Amanda) of Harrisburg and Andrew Dean (Patricia) of Franklin; and her great grandchildren, Joshua, Hailey, Daniel, Emma, Lucas, Jadie and Dylan.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cullowhee Valley Baptist Church, Wilkesdale Outreach Center, P.O. Box 958, Dillsboro, NC 28725.
