George Revis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2025, at the age of 93, George Revis (Sylva, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his significant other Patricia Bryson; his parents, Jewell Jason Revis and Gertrude Buchanan Revis; and his siblings, Stella Dowis, Mary Branson, Carolyn Middleton, Peggy Rigdon, Cindy Rigdon, Claude Revis, Bobby Joe Revis and James Revis.
He is survived by: his son George Edward "Eddie" Revis (Mary Beth); and his sisters, Nancy Sherrill and Sara Parker.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (669 W Main St, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fairivew Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Legion, Post 104, Post Office Box 104 Sylva, NC 28779.
