With sadness, we share the passing of Gladys Sutton Cabe of Sylva, North Carolina. Gladys, born on April 23, 1928, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Waye McCoy Cabe. She is survived by: her granddaughter Shawna Cabe Taylor; her sons, Jonah Taylor and Landon Taylor; her granddaughter Tonya Presley (Jerry Presley); her great grandchildren, Keith Wyatt (Nicki) and Matt Presley (Emilie); her grandson Travis "Sonny" Cabe; Kayla Spire, Isla Mae Wyatt and Isaac Presley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wesleyanna United Methodist Church Cemetery (145 Garland Buchanan Rd, Sylva, NC 28779). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gladys' lifelong church, Wesleyanna Methodist Church, in her memory.
