It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory David Scott (Sylva, North Carolina), who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Tracy Scott Green. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Scott of Sylva; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Patrick Patten of Cullowhee; his grandchildren, Chris Carvelli, Megan Souris, Andrew Green and Keelie Patten; and his sisters, Isabel Norton of Sarasota, Florida. and Susan Featherman of Sarasota, Florida..

In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia, or to the American Cancer Society.
