She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Moore and Lorene Calhoun Moore; her husband Hugh Phillip Thompson; her daughter Melanie Brooke Thompson; her granddaughter Melanie Lorene Stoeppelwerth; and her siblings, Ted Moore, Joey Moore and Anne Cope.
She is survived by: her daughters, Trinity Pokusa (Tom E.), Miranda Thompson (John Biggerstaff) and Brittany Mahaffey (Sean); her grandchildren, Savannah Brooke, Thomas Hugh, Bradley Alex, Holly Noelle, Sage Maddox Stoeppelwerth, Maisie Heather and Lochlan Sean; and her brother Tim Moore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
